Obituary of Alta Hodge Ward

Alta Hodge Ward of Livingston Manor passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Roscoe Regional Rehab and Nursing Facilities. She was 97.

She was the daughter of the late Alvin and Martha Hodge, born in Walton, NY.

For many they may remember Alta at the Livingston Manor Central School as a cook. She was a past member of the Livingston Manor Ambulance Corp., Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Livingston Manor Presbyterian Church. She loved to be outdoors, whether she was planting in her garden or enjoying the lovely weather. She was a homebody and loved her house. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son Carl (Emily) Ward. Her daughter Nancy (David Ramos) Foley, her grandson Joe Bonifacic, her siblings, Joyce Teehan, Shirley Hodge, and Bruce Hodge, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband Jerry Ward, her siblings Elinore Walley, and Marcia Tymeson.

There will be a graveside service at Orchard Street Cemetery.
