Michael Raymond Hummel, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Harris, NY.

Michael was born on December 4, 1963 in Hamilton Avenue Hospital in Monticello, NY to Raymond and Carolyn Hummel.

Michael was a graduate of Fallsburg Central School, he also attended SUNY Delhi earning a degree in air conditioning and refrigeration. He owned and operated his own company, Mountain Air for a number of years. He belonged to the car club “Any Make Any Model” earning numerous trophies for his Saleen Mustang. Michael was a 31-year member of the Hurleyville Fire Company. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his son Brandon (Tatiana) of Hurleyville; mother Carolyn of Port St. Luci, FL; sister Jamie Pappas (Steve) of Madisonville, TN; close friend Ellen Stratton and his little dog Tahoe; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his father Raymond Hummel.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788.
