Obituary of Valerie Jean Mott

Valerie Jean Mott of Ferndale passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Westchester Medical Center. She was 62.

She was the daughter of Paul Muthig and the late Anna Payne, born on May 19, 1961, in Liberty, NY.

Valerie enjoyed many different things such as Bingo, bowling, sudoku puzzles, reading “Women’s World Magazine”, going to penny socials and yard sales. She truly loved her work; between training and teaching she really made a difference. She loved her family and wanted to spend as much time with them as possible.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Helen McCombs and her husband Kevin, her grandchildren Jenna (James) Rowlette and Christopher Lee Jr., her great granddaughter Ella, her parents Paul Muthig and his wife Cheryl, her siblings Sheryl Muthig, Paul “Butch” Muthig Jr., Kari Hawkins, Brian Payne, Krista Muthig, sister-in-law Dina Muthig, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and her extended family at Rolling V Bus Company. She was predeceased by her mother Anna Payne and her brother Kyle Muthig.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4:00pm.
