Obituary of Frank Christian

Frank Christian of Fallsburg passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Kaplan Family Hospice. He was 89.

He was the son of the late Ned and Laura Christian, born on June 10, 1934, in Uniontown, AL.

Frank was born and raised in the south; he attended Perry County School in Uniontown, AL. On August 20, 1962, he married Leona Terrell and left the south and made Fallsburg their new home. For many years he worked for the Village of Woodridge. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and bike riding. In his free time, he would often be found watching wrestling or spending time with his family. He will be truly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Leona Christian, his daughters Cherie Gray of Monticello, Shirley Little of Liberty, two grandsons: Jamel Little and Marcel Gray, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his siblings Emma Terrell, Julia Christian, Lue-Jane Dixie, Willie-Mae Bryant, Willie Christian, and Jake Christian.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 11:30am-12:00pm. A funeral service will begin at the funeral at 12:00pm with Rev. Julius Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
