Obituary of Lowell W. Heffley

Home: White Sulphur Springs, New York USA Place of Birth: Kutztown, Pennsylvania USA Lowell W. Heffley White Sulphur Springs, NY Lowell W. Heffley, a longtime resident of Sullivan County, passed away on Friday May 24, 2013 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. He was 76. He was the son of the late Ralph and Edith Fister Heffley and was born on June 8, 1936 in Kutztown, PA. Lowell was retired from his position as a Teacher for Liberty High School, where he taught from 1962 to 1996. He was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Peter's Church in Liberty, NY, a member of NYS Retired Teacher's Assn and he was active in various civic and community projects. Survivors include his two sons, Jean-Jacques Heffley and his wife, Jodi, of Bristol, VA and Jean-Philippe Heffley and his wife Melanie of Berlin, NY; a special friend, Ellen Jaffe of Liberty, NY; brothers, Donald Heffley of Edgewood, FL, Malcolm Heffley of Pennsylvania, Ralph Heffley of Allentown, PA, Colin Heffley of Kutztown, PA and David Heffley of Delaware; a sister, Elaine Musser of Bally, PA, five grandchildren, Jessica, Joel, Alec, Kyle and Curtis and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Simonne Gasparini Heffley and his sister, Priscilla Messick Visiting hours will be on Tuesday May 28, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter's Church, 264 N. Main St. Liberty, on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at 11 AM. Burial will follow the mass at Laurel Hill Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs, NY. Funeral arrangements are by Ramsay's funeral Homes Inc. Liberty, NY.
