Obituary of Kenneth Vander Pyle

Kenneth was a Vietnam Veteran in the 1st cavalry division, Special Ops and Green Beret. He proudly served his country and was awarded the Purple Heart and many others medals for honor and bravery above and beyond. We cherish many wonderful memories together and will always hold them in our hearts. He always enjoyed family time and get-togethers, holidays, time with his precious grandchildren Kate and Travis who referred to him as papop. His hobbies were many, he loved electronics, inventing and building things. He was avid outdoorsman. He loved nature, long walks, animals, fishing, hunting, gardening, reading and much more. He leaves behind his loving wife Alice, son Kenneth and his wife Emily, children Kate and Travis. Son Tunis(Tina) stepson Freddy (Lindsey). Daughter Dawn(John). Daughter Debbie(Brad). We love and miss you with all our hearts, God Bless you my dear husband, Father, Grandpa and Good Friend. We would also like to dedicate this Poem (by Mary Elizabeth Frye) to him, it is something he would feel to say. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die. Arrangements under the care of Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, for further information call 845-794-2700 or visit www.colonialramsaysfuneralhome.com
