Obituary of Timothy D Truesdell

Tim Truesdell wore many hats during his time with us; son, father, grandfather, husband, uncle, dedicated friend, teacher, and soldier, to name but a few. We believe that the two he enjoyed the most was that of "Pop" to his two grandsons who brought unmeasurable joy into his life and "father" to his son, Timothy and daughter, Katherine. He truly loved his family and was happiest when sharing time with them. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to his time here after a startlingly short diagnosis of cancer. We are left with wonderful memories of his laughter, love of family and friends, storytelling, and times shared discussing his love of football, especially the Buffalo Bills. Tim leaves his wife Mary, daughter Katherine, son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Jennifer, and their two boys, TC and Tyler. Tim is a beloved uncle to his niece Amy, her husband Todd, and their children Evann and Austin, as well as his nephew Eric, his wife Michelle, and their children Eric and Ethan. Tim also had an extended family of friends whose love and support were deeply valued by him and gave him great solace and joy. Tim served his country in the US Army, and the US Army Reserves for 22 years. He was a special education teacher for the Monticello Central School District for the past 24 years. He also worked at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts for many years. Tim left this world surrounded by his family and friends and will now be at peace in the presence of our Heavenly Father. A memorial service will be on Saturday, June 30th, at 10am at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Bethel, NY. Interment will be at a later date at North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY. The family would like to publicly thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Orange Regional Medical Center for the grace, compassion and dignity with which they treated Tim in his final days. We are forever grateful for the kindness they have shown. A very special thank you to Tim's Bethel Woods family for their generosity and support in this difficult time. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home for their consideration and kindness in guiding us through these difficult moments.
